Chris Ashley
Manager, Utility Solutions,
EnerNOC
Chris develops new markets for EnerNOC's energy management solutions, identifying new opportunities, and working with utilities to implement EnerNOC demand response and energy efficiency programs. Previously, Chris was a Hewlett Environmental Fellow at The Wilderness Society in Washington, DC where he focused on carbon offset markets. Chris was also a Vice President at Chestnut Partners, a boutique merchant bank in Boston, advising clients on M&A transactions, public and private equity financings and other corporate finance matters. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Peter Asmus

Pike Research
Peter Asmus is a senior analyst contributing to Pike Research’s renewable energy practice, with a focus on wind energy as well as emerging energy distribution models such as microgrids and virtual power plants. Asmus has 20 years of experience in energy and environmental markets, both as a writer and a research consultant. Before joining Pike Research, Asmus was president of Pathfinder Communications, where his activities included consulting, freelance journalism, and other writing assignments. He is the author of the recent book Introduction to Energy in California, as well as Reaping the Wind. He was also the co-author of Reinventing Electric Utilities and In Search of Environmental Excellence. Asmus was previously editor of the Clean Power Journal, assistant editor of California Policy Choices, and has written for a number of energy trade publications including Windpower Monthly and Electric Utility Week. He holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin.

Pierre Bernard

Mr. Bernard is in charge of business development for the Elia Group -- the Belgian electricity transmission system operator (TSO) -- where he also served as Secretary General for several years. He headed the Elia team which was in charge of the acquisition of 50 Hertz, the German TSO, acquired by Elia in 2010. Since 2011, Mr. Bernard has been Managing Partner and co-founder of Bernard EnergyAdvocacy, an advisory firm specializing in legal matters and EU/EC advocacy related to the transmission and distribution of electricity. He is one of the persons active in developing the Supergrid, Europe's project for a North Sea Transmission grid. He has also actively participated in the drafting of important parts of Belgian electricity legislation and regulation as well as different grid-related contracts. He played a key role in drafting the legal framework of the market coupling between BeNeLux countries, Germany and France.

Guy Blanchard

Mr. Blanchard joined Amonix, Inc. in late 2009, augmenting the company's senior management team with his extensive capital market, project finance and business development experience. Guy joined Amonix through the acquisition of Sunworks Solar LLC, where as co-founder, he led the development of Sunworks' project pipeline. Prior to that, Blanchard was managing director at Fortress Investment Group's Drawbridge family of funds. He focused on investment opportunities in renewable and nuclear energy, aircraft, and financial services sectors. Previously, Blanchard was vice president of corporate finance at GATX Corporation. In addition, he held roles as a systems analyst and CFO at Johnson Trading Company. Guy earned a bachelor's degree in managerial economics and a master's in business administration from the University of California, Davis.

Frank Coenen

Mr. Coenen is CEO Belwind Bligh Bank, Belgium's largest farshore Offshore Wind power plant. It is constructed on and around the Bligh sand bank (46 -52 km offshore) and is therefore the farthest and deepest (20 - 37 mt). He is also CEO of Northwind nv (previously Eldepasco), which is engineering and financing a 216 MW offshore wind farm on the "Bank Zonder Naam" sand bank, 38 km .off the coast of Zeebrugge, Belgium. Additionally, he is Chairman and Owner at InControl SA and Managing Director at Northwester 2, a company that will tender for the 7nd Belgian offshore wind domain concession. Mr. Coenen is also Member of the Advisory Board of Royal Haskoning, and a Member of the Board of Directors of WEPA, the Federation of offshore electricity producers in Belgium.

Joe Deluca

Joe serves as Vice President Development and Product Marketing where he leads the R&D and Product Management groups in the definition, design, development and launch of the industry's first smart grid connected utility-grade solar products. He has held senior management positions for over eight years in the communications industry where he led Conexant to a market leadership position delivering next generation DSL Technology for IP TV services. The products developed under his direction are now widely deployed for AT&T's U-Verse TV service.

Joe also spent eight years in the Missiles and Space Division of Lockheed in senior engineering positions in which he led the systems integration and test for a NASA earth science satellite, and Mars Probe. His additional endeavors in the solar field include the design, construction, and piloting of a solar power race car for the first General Motors cross-country Sunrayce. Joe received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, and holds a masters degree in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Lawrence E. Jones
Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, Policy & Industrial Relations

Dr. Jones has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry with expertise in power systems engineering, applications of information, communications and control technologies in power grid and electricity market operations, smart grid technologies including HVDC and FACTS, and renewable energy integration. He joined Alstom Grid in 2000 and is part of the company's Global Smart Grid Business Development team. He was previously Director of Strategy and Special Projects, Worldwide, with the network management systems (NMS) product line of the automation business unit, and also led its renewable energy integration activities globally. Most recently, Dr. Jones has been appointed by NIST to a three-year term on the newly formed 15-member Smart Grid Advisory Committee established to carrying out duties authorized by section 1305 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.

John Jordan

Mr. Jordan joined Dunmore in 2010. Prior to his current role, he served as President, Worldwide Field Operations, for TAGSYS - a global leader in RFID tagging solutions. During his tenure the company more than doubled its sales. Mr. Jordon opened the pharmaceuticals market for TAGSYS and built strategic partnerships in a number of other key business segments, including library and healthcare. Prior to joining TAGSYS, he served as Vice President of International Operations for Apriso, a world leader in execution enterprise software, and founded their business in Europe. In 1997, Mr. Jordan sold and implemented the first RFID system in the U.S. for Gemplus Tag (now Gemalto) a global smartcard manufacturer.

Jim Lanard

Offshore Wind Development Coalition
Mr. Lanard has been a leader in the offshore wind industry for more than five years. Prior to his current position, Jim was Managing Director of Deepwater Wind, where he was involved in the company's offshore wind development initiatives in Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts and supported the company's strategic planning, policy development and regulatory affairs efforts. He also worked at Bluewater Wind for several years, leading Bluewater's strategic planning and advocacy initiatives.


David McShane

David J. McShane joined International Battery as Executive Vice President of Business Development and Engineering in May of 2010. He brings over 20 years of professional experience in the commercialization of early stage technology companies. Prior to joining the International Battery team, David was President and CEO of Wellington Drive Technologies US Inc., where he successfully grew the company to a market leading position for high efficiency fractional horsepower electric motors. In addition, he has held senior management positions at Capstone Turbine Corporation and Co-Founded Wavedriver Ltd., a developer of hybrid-electric drive-train technology. David holds several power conversion & control patents, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (FIET). He holds a BEng ACGI in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College of Science & Technology, London UK.

Mark O. Webb

Since May 1, 2009, Mr. Webb has been Director of Policy and Business Evaluation - Alternative Energy Solutions for Dominion Resources, Inc., a newly formed unit at Dominion to identify business opportunities, provide technology research and participate in the development of the nation's energy policies relating to emerging energy technologies. Previously, Mark served as Dominion's Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Securities, Finance & M&A. Mark joined Dominion in 1997 as an assistant general counsel. Mark graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1993 and received his undergraduate degree (magna cum laude) from Texas Christian University in 1990.
