Leading Wholesale Power Supplier Selects OSI Technology for New SCADA Platform

Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI) has been selected by a nonprofit leader in wholesale power supply for municipal electric systems, to provide a replacement SCADA system based on OSI's monarch (Multi-platform Open Network ARCHitecture) platform.
Electing to remain anonymous, the new OSI customer is a nonprofit leader in wholesale power supply for municipal electric systems, providing generation, transmission and distribution of electric power and energy to 129 members in seven states. Combined, these publicly-owned utilities serve nearly 625,000 customers.
The new monarch SCADA system is set to feature the advanced functionality presented by OSI's .NET-based graphical user interface (GUI); data engineering and maintenance subsystem; advanced alarm management system; real-time and historical trending; communications front-end processor; historical information system and data archiving; inter-control center communications protocol; and calculation & scripting subsystem software products, with ODBC interfaces to monarch.
