Making the Most of Your AMI Investment
Beyond enhancing billing practices, the millions of data points that comprise an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) have the potential to improve a utility's business operations across the board through advanced analytics and system integration. Integrating the Meter Data Management (MDM) system with other key systems like SCADA and OMS combines critical information sets that advanced analytic engines can digest to provide essential operational and strategic intelligence across the enterprise. Examples include MDM systems identifying potential theft or line-loss by combining AMI usage readings with SCADA supply data, or an OMS utilizing the MDM system to communicate directly with meters, identifying and verifying outages more quickly and more accurately. This presentation examines how innovations in MDM and AMI solutions, integrated with systems across the enterprise, are providing a road to better business and superior customer service.

A 20 year veteran of the utility industry, Marc has previously held senior sales positions with Trilliant Networks, GRIDiant, and SPL WorldGroup. Marc also served as President & CEO of eMobile Data Corporation until it was acquired by Itron in 2003.
